Sister Chromatids

Definition: Sister chromatids are two identical copies of a single chromosome that are connected by a centromere.
Examples: In anaphase of mitosis, sister chromatids separate and begin moving to opposite ends of the cell. Once the paired sister chromatids separate from one another, each is considered a full chromosome.
