Red Wine Antioxidant Fights Cancer

Who would have thought that the red wine you had with dinner actually contained a powerful cancer fighting antioxidant?

Studies have shown that red wine and grape skins contain the antioxidant resveratrol, which helps to destroy pancreatic cancer cells.

Resveratrol works by preventing the mitochondria in these cancer cells from functioning properly.

The researchers also revealed that when resveratrol treatment is combined with irradiation, it causes programmed cell death in the treated cancer cells.
