Thursday March 13, 2008
A study reveals that short-term stress can affect memory and the ability to learn.
This type of stress damages neurons in the brain and disrupts their ability to communicate.
The researchers found that by blocking certain molecules that were released under short-term stress conditions, stress damage to nerve cells was eliminated.
