Function:

  • Determines Intelligence

  • Interpretation of Sensory Impulses

  • Motor Function

  • Planning and Organization

  • Touch Sensation

Location:

  • The cerebral cortex is the outer portion (1.5mm to 5mm) of the cerebrum. It is divided into lobes: frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital. The insula is also found in this region of the brain.
