Are Some Trans Fats Good For You?

Everyone knows that trans fats are bad for you, right? Researchers from the University of Alberta contend that not all trans fats are bad for you.

Unlike hydrogenated trans fat produced through industrial processing, some natural trans fats are thought to be beneficial and not harmful.

Studies have shown that a diet including trans vaccenic acid can actually reduce risk factors for heart disease and obesity.

Trans vaccenic acid is a natural trans fat found in beef and dairy products.
