Increasing Your Intelligence

Thursday June 5, 2008
Have you ever wondered if you could improve your IQ?

A study suggests that a person can improve one aspect of his or her IQ through memory training.

IQ tests measure two types of intelligence. One type, known as crystallized intelligence, is based on information gained from long-term memory. This type of intelligence can not be improved.

The other type of intelligence, fluid intelligence, is based on information gained from short-term memory. This type of intelligence can be improved through training.

Researchers believe that memory training may also be helpful to individuals with developmental problems or memory loss.
