Hydrogen Producing Bacteria

Scientists have genetically engineered E. coli bacteria in order to produce substantial quantities of hydrogen.

We know about the harm this particular strain of bacteria can cause, but this study reveals how the bacteria can be used to provide a potential renewable energy source.
