With predators always on the lookout for a meal, prey must constantly avoid being eaten.

Any adaptation the prey uses adds to the chances of survival for the species.

Some of these adaptations are defense mechanisms, which can give the prey an advantage against enemies.

Examples of some defense mechanisms prey use are:
  • Chemical combat
  • Camouflage
  • Speed
  • Trickery: false features and mimicry

what do mammals do as their defence to particular predators because i have heard that some predators are losing interest in their preys in these dacades because of what no body understands the real reasons or is due to captivity???? still more questions need to be answered but one thing stands still man have something to do with it
