Giant Rodent

Researchers have found the fossil remains of a giant rodent believed to have lived around 6-8 million years ago. This rodent is estimated to have been about 1,500 pounds and about the size of a buffalo. The remains were found in a semidesert area in Venezuela, which was once a swampy forest. Read more.
